Immorality has grown, disastrous climate changes, violence, rumors of wars have been increasing in the world in recent years. Earthquakes are increasing in size and intensity in various places. Major storms are threatening the lives of millions of people around the world like Typhoon Nockten that hit the Philippine islands. Massive fires and the awakening of hundreds of volcanoes threaten to destroy life and property.
When the Bible speaks of the coming of the Lord, it is not referring to death, nor is it referring to the coming of the Holy Spirit. It is talking about the personal and visible coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
At the moment of Christ's ascension, while the disciples were watching him go up to Heaven, two angels appeared and said to them: Galilean men, why are you looking up to Heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you to heaven, will come as you have seen him go to heaven (Acts 1:11).
HOW WILL JESUS COME? She will come in the same way as she ascended to heaven. The disciples saw Jesus return to heaven, and those who are alive when he comes again will see him on that occasion.
Does anyone know the exact time of the Lord's coming? No. The Lord Jesus said, "But of that day and hour, no one knows."
Since we do not know exactly when the Lord is coming, we must be ready at all times for His coming. The correct attitude of a Christian is to always be waiting for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Although we cannot know the exact time when Jesus is coming, we do know that He is coming soon. How do we know? By the signs that the Bible gives as to the time of his coming. Let's look at how these are being fulfilled.
•Wars
There have always been wars, but Jesus said that the end times would be marked by a great increase in the number of wars. He said, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." Since the Second World War, there have been more than 45 wars, 12 of them of great magnitude.
•Famine, pestilences and earthquakes
The Lord Jesus said, "… there will be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes throughout the places." Never before in history have scientists recorded as many earthquakes as they have in the last 20 years.
